September 2016 LET Results

MANILA, Philippines – The PRC officially released the September 2016 LET results or Licensure Exam for Teachers' (Elementary and Secondary Levels) list of passers, top 10 examinees, top performing schools and related announcements online, 48 working days after the last day of board examination.

As announced, 23,378 elementary teachers out of 77,466 examinees (30.18%) and 31,334 secondary teachers out of 92,754 examinees (33.78%) successfully passed. It is further announced that of the 23,378 elementary teacher passers, 21,896 are first timers and 1,482 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 28,957 passers are first timers and 2,377 are repeaters. The results of examination with respect to four (4) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.

The licensure exams are administered by PRC Board of Professional Teachers headed by its Chairman, Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Vice Chairman Dr. Paz I. Lucido and its members, Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy on September 25, 2016 at PRC testing centers located in Manila, Zamboanga, Bacolod, Antique, Rosales, Pangasinan, Laoag, Mindoro and all Regional offices nationwide.

Mark Penuliar Castillo from Tarlac State University and Lady Princess Sanguyo Marcelo from University of the Philippines Diliman ranked first in the exams garnering an average 88.20% rating. In the top performing school category, University of Santo Tomas (UST) ranked first having 133 out of 136 examinees passed or an overall passing rate of 97.79% followed by Bohol Island State University having 68 out of 74 examinees passed or 91.89% passing rate.
